The trek, village by village
Itinerary
Morning
Meet in Sapa town
We start with a flexible morning time, from your hotel or in front of the Stone Church in Sapa town. I'll introduce the day's plan before we head down into Muong Hoa Valley.
Late morning
Y Linh Ho Village
We descend into the valley, surrounded by mountains, streams, and terraced rice fields, to Y Linh Ho, a small Black Hmong village. I'll show you the traditional wooden houses and indigo-dyed clothing, and share how my people farm and live.

Midday
Lao Chai Village
Following trails along the Muong Hoa River, we reach Lao Chai, larger than Y Linh Ho, with a panoramic view over the terraces. You'll likely see people working the fields, weaving, or cooking, and we'll talk about Hmong customs and family life.
Afternoon
Ta Van Village
After a short rest, we continue through fields and bamboo groves to Ta Van, home to the Giay ethnic minority. You'll see stilt houses and a different way of farming, with warm hospitality and plenty of chances for photos.
